Srilatha Batliwala
Ms. Batliwala
is an Indian feminist activist and researcher. She is currently Civil Society Research Fellow at the Hauser Center for Nonprofit Organizations in Harvard University. Prior to this, Batliwala was a Program Officer in the Governance and Civil Society Unit of the Ford Foundation in New York, handling programs related to strengthening international civil society and the nonprofit sector in the United States. Before joining the Ford Foundation in late 1997, she worked for nearly twenty five years in India in a range of social change and gender justice activities that spanned grassroots organizing, advocacy, and research, with a deep commitment to gender equality and the women's movement in India.

Patricia Morey, Ph.D
Ms. Morey is Director of Women and Gender Program at the University of Córdoba, Argentina where she teaches philosophy and sociology. She was representative of the Argentinean National Association of NGOS at Huairou in 1995 and has been a contributing member of Huairou member organization CISCSA for the last fifteen years.

Achola Pala Okeyo, Ph.D. A writer, researcher and speaker, Dr. Pala Okeyo began her professional partnership with Huairou while she was at the UN. Currently an independent scholar, she’s served as head of the UNDP Africa Bureau and as Senior Advisor on Governance to UNIFEM. She’s pioneered initiatives on building the capacity of women’s networks and is author of articles and books with a focus on women’s agency for political and economic change. Her work in Africa focuses on women’s property rights, food security, AIDS, and sustainable livelihoods. Dr. Pala Okeyo lives in both Kenya and the US.

Ayse Yonder
A member of the Huairou Strategic Planning Committee of 2003 and volunteer staffer, Ms. Yonder is also professor of urban planning. She is co-chair of the steering committee of the Planners Network, a network of planners and community activists. A long time friend of Huairou member organization FSWW/KEDV, she donated seven months of work to supporting those women who were organizing child care, housing and community research after the Izmit/Adapazari earthquake in 2000.
